Meet the experts

Laura Mazzei

With a strong background in public affairs and policy, Laura Mazzei brings extensive expertise to advise members on advocacy matters. In her role she is responsible for regulatory and EU public affairs. Joining FEFCO in 2023, her career spans consulting firms and trade associations, where she advised board members and technical working groups on complex legislative and political matters related to the green transition, Farm to Fork, circular economy and industrial ecosystems. 

Sven Korsten

Sven Korsten has been with Interzero Repasack GmbH for 15 years in various positions. Since 2013, he has been responsible for the Repasack take-back system and recycling activities for post-consumer paper sacks from industry and trade in Germany. In 2023, Sven took over the management of the company. His vision is to close the material loops across Europe, ensuring that used paper sacks are consistently repurposed as raw material in the production of new sack kraft paper.

Carlos Martínez Ezquerra

Carlos Martinez Ezquerra has over 20 years of experience in designing and operating sustainable supply chains of different industries. He joined Mondi in 2018, developing strategic partnerships and alliances for planning and implementing circular business models for industrial packaging. Carlos has been involved in the Paper Sacks Go Circular Spain alliance from the beginning. The alliance gives a good example of how engaging the entire value chain of paper sacks in the construction industry can help manage the big challenge of the end-of-life of industrial packaging.
